  • To celebrate Olly Emery’s first birthday, mother Melissa organised a fun day at the Knights Grande Pub in Winsford, Cheshire, to both raise awareness of NKH and raise funds for Joseph’s Goal. There were lots of attractions and lots of people attending. Many thanks for the £1,150 that was collected.

  • Joseph led out both teams at the final of the Wigan Friendship Cup on a rainy night at Ashton Town Football Club. At half-time, he was presented with two cheques – £250 from the Friendship Club and £125 from Winstanley Warriors FC. A big thank you to all who made this happen.

  • A Teddy Bears’ Picnic was held at Brieryfield Childrens’ Centre, Preston, with a variety of bear-related activities. Joe was joined by friends Jack and Olly, who were both born with the same genetic condition.Thank you Nicole and all who supported for the excellent £330 raised.

  • Thanks to patients at Bryn Cross Surgery, Wigan, who paid to have photos taken with the FA Cup, with proceeds going to Joseph’s Goal.

  • Barry Worthington continues to come up trumps for Joseph, this time raising £252 on his Vital Latics coaches to Wembley for the Community Shield game against Manchester United. The top raffle prize was a pair of Jordi Gomez’ boots, won by brothers Charlie and Jacob Irvine who are both season ticket holders in the East [...]

  • Anthony Pilling and his friend, Josh, raised money for Joseph and marked the FA Cup victory over Manchester City by cycling the 23 miles from the DW Stadium to the Etihad Stadium. Well done lads!

  • Thanks to Pete Thompson for raising money for Joseph by doing both the York 10K and The Three Peaks inside a week. This included getting lost in the dark on Scafell Pike.

  • Over £250 was raised with a Lucky Dip to win three signed shirts donated by Joseph’s Goal ambassador, James McArthur. The winners were John Stott, Carole Roberts and Tony Ackers. Thank you James.

  • A team from Parkinson CPC, Wigan, did the 60 miles Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride for Joseph’s Goal. Thank you, chaps.

  • Several heroes completed sponsored runs for Joseph’s Goal on a very hot day. Paul Gray-Scott completed the Worcester 10K in 47 minutes. Matthew Aitchison, Simon Wilkes, James Marshment, Gary Rose, Wayne Gardiner, George Riley and Joseph’s daddy, Paul, ran the Leeds 10K. Andy Hayes and Adam Sawyer completed the Manchester 10K.
